The South West Lifelong Learning Network (SWLLN) and the Higher Skills project co-ordinated a heritage and cultural tourism event for the third sector and commercial organisations across Dorset which was held at Kingston Maurward College on 11 April 2008. 

Speakers included: Louise Boston-Mamman, Dorset Hidden Histories; Marcus Dixon: Lyme Regis Development Trust; Jim Hart, Volunteer Centre Dorchester; Crystal Johnson, Fra Newbery Trail; Kevin Morris, Dorset Design and Heritage Forum; Pam White: National Trust (Corfe Castle); Alan Wilson, East Dorset Heritage Trust; Ben Wyer, Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.  

The SWLLN and the Higher Skills projects gave presentations on their current and upcoming projects which relate to heritage and cultural tourism third and commercial sector organisations.

Staff from Kingston Maurward carried out tours of the gardens, house, new library building and blacksmithing throughout the day.
