Peter Pierpoint
Peter spent most of his career lecturing in Plymouth Business School, University of Plymouth (UoP). During this time he developed a continuing interest in Problem-Based Learning. He has published, and otherwise disseminated, research findings and applications in this area. His teaching interests resided in Environmental Economics and Economics of the European Union (EU). He continued to lecture part time in Environmental Economics after leaving Plymouth Business School in 2006. Whilst at UoP Peter worked as Programme Manager for the International Business degree. This involved liaising with a wide range of European partners and partners beyond in Australia, USA, Canada and Mexico. Over the last seven years he became involved, enjoyably, with partnership work within the University of Plymouth Colleges faculty. Peter started out teaching in a comprehensive school in Harlow Essex and then arrived at the old Plymouth Polytechnic via a study-then-research route from Birkbeck College, London. Within the SWLLN Peter will be working in the Progression Strand whilst being based in Plymouth.
